The Music Trainer site has been developed by Stacey Darnell, a member of the Church of Christ in Montrose, Colorado. Its purpose is to assist congregations and song leaders in learning songs that may be used in the song service of the assembled church.

The site is open to all members of the church in Montrose and the public at large. You may access it by clicking on the MUSIC TRAINER button to the side.

Each song is in a separate folder under the main directory. The name of each song’s folder is an abbreviation of the song’s name. Within each folder, there are sub-folders. The main sub-folder of interest to those desiring to learn the song is the “Trainer” sub-folder. Within the Trainer sub-folder are a series of audio files – one with all voice parts (soprano, alto, tenor, and bass), and one with the soprano and one other voice part (e.g., soprano and alto), and so on for each of the voice parts. So a bass singer, for example, may listen to the soprano and bass audio file and learn the bass part along with the songs melody.

Within some folders there are other sub-folders, such as “Lyrics,” or “History,” which may be interesting and useful.
